most beneficial to you. We are dedicated to your success in
achieving your personal goals and will work beside you
along the way. Our commitment is to provide the essential
support you need to empower you to regain control over
your emotional well-being and lead a fulfilling life. It’s time
to begin healing within your family, within your
relationships, and within yourself.
Individual
Therapy
Many individuals wrestle with trauma, depression,
anxiety, stress, feeling overwhelmed, grief, addiction,
and many other challenges. Finding the skills and
determination to recognize and overcome these
trials can seem daunting. Individual Therapy can
help with these struggles and give you tools you
need to discover what works best for your individual
situation. Each person copes with their battles
differently and fine tuning these coping skills will
help you manage them more effectively and push
you toward individual success. We utilize many
different evidence-based therapeutic modalities in
our practice, catered to your specific needs, goals,
and situation. The first step in healing is you.
We all want to live our best lives and be happier and healthier. Sometimes that is a difficult road to navigate alone. We
provide counseling, support, and educational material regarding various aspects of mental health and emotional
understanding. This is intended to help individuals better comprehend concepts in order to relieve stress, communicate
effectively, empathize with others, alleviate anxiety, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict.
Counseling is a relationship meant to help you identify areas that may be standing in the way of your goals.
Goal Centered, Evidence Based Therapy
There can be many goals for services. Some of these will be long-term goals such as improving the quality of your life,
developing healthy relationships and boundaries, or building emotional resilience. Others may be more immediate goals
such as decreasing strong emotional reactions, processing trauma, changing behavior or decreasing undesirable behavior.
Whatever the goals are, our focus is empowering clients with skills consistent with how each individual desires to develop.
Family
Therapy
Families come in all shapes and sizes. Every
family is different and has unique challenges.
We help enable you to communicate and unite
when facing these challenges. Learning ways to
talk to your children, spouses, or parents can
improve your relationships and strengthen
bonds. Healthy boundaries, coping mechanisms
and intentionality help encourage the building
of the family dynamic you desire. As you
implement what you learn you can find
improved quality of home life, decreased strong
emotional reactions, healthier relationships,
more unity, and changed behavior. Whatever
age, stage, or chapter your family is in, we help
give you the skills to find your way to the family
culture you desire.
We serve families who are dealing with:
- divorce
- blended families
- adoption
- foster care
- aging parents
- death
- empty nest
- life transitions
- health crisis
- and more
Couples Therapy
Relationships are put through every kind of
test. With all the things demanding our
attention it is harder now than ever to find the
time and energy that couples so desperately
need. Many couples have to learn and relearn
how to speak each other’s languages and how
to navigate priorities to enable their
relationship to thrive. Life will undoubtedly
surround your relationship with challenges.
There are times when you may need someone
to help you work through these trials and get
your relationship to where you want it to be.
Whether in a new relationship, one that has
carried on for years, or one just holding on by
a thread, we are here to listen and help. We
will meet you where you are and support you
while you get where you want to go.
Your partner is your family. In couples therapy, we help couples address and resolve conflicts, improve communication, and strengthen
the relationship. We provide a safe, supportive environment where partners can explore their emotions, concerns, and behaviors with
the guidance of a trained, knowledgeable, and empathetic therapist.
In most couples therapy settings, sessions typically involve both partners, but therapists may also meet with individuals separately if
needed, depending on the circumstances. The therapist’s role is to remain neutral, providing a safe space for both individuals to express
themselves and work together toward healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Improved Communication: One of the core focuses of therapy is enhancing communication between partners. Therapists help couples learn how to express their feelings, needs, expectations, and desires in a healthy and constructive manner, without blame or defensiveness.
Conflict Resolution: We assist partners to identify the root causes of conflicts in their relationship and develop effective strategies for resolving disagreements. When a couple is able to resolve their conflicts effectively and in a way agreeable to both partners it can open doors to emotional connection and a feeling of security. We work with couples on managing anger, improving listening skills, and fostering understanding.
Intimacy and Connection: For couples who may be feeling emotionally or physically disconnected, therapy can help restore intimacy, fulfillment, and trust. We work with partners on rebuilding connection, closeness, affection, and sexual intimacy if those areas are struggling.
Strengthening Commitment and Trust: For couples experiencing a breakdown in trust, such as infidelity or betrayal, therapy can guide them through the process of rebuilding trust, healing emotional wounds, and decisions moving forward. We offer support and guidance through whatever path this process leads you to.
Identifying Negative Patterns: Many couples fall into unhealthy patterns of behavior, such as criticism, defensiveness, or withdrawal. We guide couples to learn to identify these negative patterns and work together to replace them with healthier interactions.
Maneuvering Life Transitions: Therapy can help couples
navigate major life transitions, such as moving, having
children, becoming empty nesters, or dealing with the loss
of a loved one. These changes can strain relationships,
and we provide support in adapting and growing
together.
Emotional Support: The therapy process offers both
partners a space to express their emotions openly. We
facilitate in an environment where each individual feels
heard, validated, and understood, which can build
empathy and connection.
Support with Parenting Challenges: Therapy can also
assist couples in managing parenting roles and resolving
differences in parenting styles. Every stage of parenting
has its own set of challenges and often leaves parents
feeling confused and helpless. Whether facing the
“terrible twos”, a struggling teenager, or children who are
grown and gone, each phase is different. We provide
support for maintaining a strong partnership while
maneuvering the evolution of raising children and on
through their adult years.
Pre-Marital Counseling: Some couples seek therapy
before marriage to establish healthy communication
habits, clarify expectations, and strengthen their
relationship before committing to a lifelong partnership.
Individual Growth within the Relationship: While
couples therapy focuses on the relationship as a whole, it
also encourages individual growth. It allows each person
to explore their own emotional needs, personal
development, and how they contribute to the relationship.

We utilize a varity of approaches including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used, evidence-
based therapy that helps individuals identify and change
negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and
depression. - Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on helping
individuals regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and improve
relationships. - Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic
approach of acceptance and using your values to help direct

being. We assist in providing individuals with increased self-awareness
and tools to handle stress, negative emotions, and challenging
situations in healthier ways, promoting self-reflection and personal

EMDR
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing) therapy is a specialized
psychotherapy designed to help individuals
process and heal from traumatic experiences,
distressing memories, or emotional
challenges.
What does EMDR look like?
During an EMDR session, a trained therapist
guides the client through a series of
structured steps that involve recalling
distressing memories while simultaneously
engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as
guided eye movements, taps, or sounds. This
dual-process helps to reprocess the
memories, reducing their emotional intensity
and allowing the individual to gain new
insights and perspectives.
Is EMDR safe?
EMDR is a well-researched, evidence-based
treatment that can offer relief from the
overwhelming effects of past trauma and
promote emotional healing and well-being.
With its structured approach and non-
invasive techniques, EMDR can provide safe,
fast, and lasting results.
EMDR FAQs
EMDR is especially effective for
individuals dealing with trauma, PTSD,
phobias, and other emotional difficulties.
This therapy model aims to help clients
reframe their thoughts, reduce emotional
distress, and integrate healthier coping
mechanisms, allowing individuals to move
past their trauma and live more balanced,
fulfilling lives.
Implementing EMDR in combination with
other therapeutic models we offer can
individualize your treatment experience.

Play Therapy Techniques
We love utilizing games, crafts, and other play therapy techniques. Play invites children to open up, express their thoughts,
feelings and emotions, making communication easier for them, and encouraging building relationships of trust more effectively.
Play is a natural form of communication for children, allowing them to process emotions and work through challenges in a safe
and supportive environment. Play encourages self-expression through different approaches, such as Directive Play (the therapist
offers specific guidance) and Non-Directive Play (the child leads the play). We collaborate with parents or caregivers through
regular communication with updates on progress, strategies to support their child, and ways to reinforce lessons learned in
therapy.
Play is effective in helping children who have experienced trauma or face behavioral challenges, offering them a safe space to
work through difficult experiences in a way that aligns with their developmental stage. Ultimately, the aim is to help children
develop healthier coping mechanisms, build self-esteem, strengthen relationships, and gain a greater sense of control over their
emotions and experiences.
Grief
The stages of grief can be a lonely and frustrating
process. Many people, when experiencing the stages
of grief, process the loss differently and need help to
cope with what they are facing on a daily basis.
Grief comes in many forms and can consume our
lives. Grief counseling can help you process and
communicate about the challenges you are facing.
Whether it be the death of a loved one, an illness,
injury, or even divorce, there is help along the way.
Grief doesn’t leave, but it changes and progresses,
and we can help you find your way through it.
Addiction Recovery
Addiction can come in many avenues and in many forms in today’s world.
This includes alcohol, substance use, gambling, pornography, and food.
These addictions can make life feel unmanageable and it is important to
seek help now if you are experiencing any form of addiction. Each day that
you spend feeding your addiction will make it more difficult to cope with
and overcome in the long run. Recovery, although very difficult, is indeed
possible. If your loved one is dealing with addiction you may experience
emotional hardships and need a healthy, supportive outlet. Addiction
recovery is won by an entire support system and not just one individual.
Our desire is for you to find your freedom from addiction and claim the life
you want to make for yourself. We will help you get there. You are not
alone.
